Well. Not everyone is asleep. There's someone else wandering around the mansion too, although he doesn't have to skulk. His presence here is known, and welcome. He doesn't sleep much, hasn't for years, which makes him a good choice for keeping an eye on things while everyone else is sleeping.
Because of the nature of his mutation, he can feel the presence of metal that is out of place. It's enough to get him to investigate. It's also how he can so easily track down Warren, and truth be told, he's not that surprised to see him. Ororo came here after the events in Egypt, after all. The only one lacking now is Psylocke, and he doubts they'll see her.
